Arthur Mellott
Arthur Johnson Mellott (1888-1957) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.
Mellott was nominated by President Harry Truman on November 13, 1945, to a new seat created by 59 Stat. 545; he was confirmed by the Senate on November 27, 1945, and received commission on November 29th. He served as chief judge from 1948 until his death on December 29, 1957.[1] Mellott was succeeded in this position by Arthur Stanley.
