Barbara Hyland is an associate probate and family court justice for the Hampden Probate and Family Court in Hampden County, Massachusetts.[1] She was nominated to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick on December 1, 2010.[2] Hyland may serve on the court until she turns the mandatory retirement age of 70.[3]
Education
Hyland received her undergraduate degree from Westfield State College in 1978 and her J.D. from the Western New England College School of Law in 1983.[2]
Career
From 1987 until she joined the Hampden Probate and Family Court in 2010, Hyland maintained a law practice in Holyoke, Massachusetts, specializing in probate and family law.[2]
