Carl Houghton ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Chittenden 6-2 in 2010. He ran against Tim Allard in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He was opposed by Tim Allard (R), Linda Waite-Simpson (D), and Tim Jerman (D) in the November 2, 2010 general election. According to unofficial results Houghton lost, but as of November 15 a recount is pending.[1]
