I am currently a deputy in Nueces County. I am a military veteran and combat veteran. I have a master peace officer license and a master's degree in public safety/criminal justice. I am currently working on a DPA/ doctoral degree in public administration. I have over 14 years of experience conducting many aspects of law enforcement, from supervising, civil, subpoenas, grand jury summons, patrol, criminal investigations, felony warrants, canine handling, and environmental enforcement. My military experience includes leading, managing, and training personnel. I am a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society, the Coastal Bend Council of Governments, VFW, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

  • Education, leadership, and training are very important. Revising policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with state law and county regulations, improving efficiency, training, and safety, rebuilding trust and faith through dedication and professionalism, and building better individual and community relations through a better-trained department to serve the people and the courts.
  • Through professionalism and a well-trained department for the citizens and the court to ensure transparency, morals, ethics, and values in the constable's office, in order to address trust and community concerns, the constable's office should work in conjunction with local officials and the community they serve. With an emphasis on developing good connections, establishing trust, and increasing public engagement by treating people equally fairly and being respectful.
  • A constable's office should have community involvement and a better community-police partnership. The constable's office should have better deputy training to properly handle court, complaints, and crimes. A positive presence in the community they serve to address crime and concerns. Awareness and education programs that involve raising awareness among the public and providing better training to deputies to improve office contacts and the well-being of individuals.

Government accountability and financial transparency are essential components of good governance.
