  • Public safety
Excerpt: "Christian is proactive in sponsoring legislation to keep illegal guns out of the hands of criminals."
  • Jobs
    • To increase employment, Christian:
      • "Started a program that gives low-interest loans to small local businesses, so that they can create more jobs in our community."
      • "Targets government investment where Illinois has the most potential for growth. This ensures that the jobs of the new economy will be created right here at home."
      • "Fights for updated school courses to keep Illinois competitive in the future."
      • "Looks for results in government efforts to create jobs. Christian pushes for accountability from government programs. He wants to use set goals to determine whether or not a program grows enough jobs. His efforts for transparency make sure that Illinois directs investment in the most effective way to grow our economy."

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Illinois

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
