Wyoming native, lifelong republican, conservative, businessman, family oriented, Wyoming educated! A lifelong resident of Sweetwater County Cody graduated from Rock Springs High school, later gaining an associate degree at Western Wyoming Community College and then received his bachelor's degree at the University of Wyoming in political science. While attending the University, Cody would meet his now loving wife Marie. Upon graduation Cody would return home to Sweetwater County and join his family's construction business. A third-generation builder and businessman Cody would gain a unique understanding of the county's economic innerworkings and outlook. Cody's wife Marie finished her degree in criminal justice at the University and relocated to Sweetwater County becoming a Sheriff's Deputy. The Wylie's have recently started a family and plan on a bright future within our local community.

At this point in our history as a nation and a state, I believe it is imperative to find the common sense and common ground we need to work together. At the same time, I believe that as a conservative Republican I must defend the conservative policies I believe in. Such as our 2nd amendment right to bear arms, our right to Free Speech, Wyoming’s Water rights. Wyoming’s right to manage and govern the public lands within our boarders. Low taxes and little government regulation. To name a few.

I believe I have been taught to do what is right even if it is hard. Work ethic is a major part of my character and I believe that is how a person can better themselves and their families. Honesty, integrity, drive, education, understanding are all the values I have been taught to incorporate into my everyday life and I have been better for it. As a young man I was told anything that a person does in life has their name on it so make it count because people will remember!

I want to leave this world, Wyoming, Sweetwater County, my family, and the people that know of me better than before I was a part of it. If I can achieve this while upholding my values, I will have been a happy and proud man.

I was diagnosed as a young man with Learning Disabilities. School was always a struggle having to find new and different ways of learning. It wasn’t until college did, I understand that putting in the endless hours of work and frustration was a strength rather than a disability.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Wyoming

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
