Dale Emerson Saffels (1921-2002) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Saffels was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on September 28, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 31, 1979, and received commission on November 2. He assumed senior status on November 16, 1990, and served in that capacity until his death on November 14, 2002.[1] Saffels was succeeded in this position by John Lungstrum.
