Dan Bice is a columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He has served in this role since 1992 and has written the column "No Quarter" since 2007. Before that, he co-wrote another column, "Spivak & Bice," with Carey Spivak for eight years.[1] He is a self-described "political watchdog columnist."[2]
From 1987 to 1991, he worked as a reporter for the Charleston Daily Mail. He attended the University of Chicago from 1994-1995, receiving a master's in social science.[3]
Bice is married to Sonya Bice, judicial assistant to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Patrick Crooks.[4][5]
John Doe investigations
Two John Doe investigations, beginning in 2010 and ending in 2015, were launched by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm (D) into the activities of staff and associates of Gov. Scott Walker (R).[6] Several Milwaukee Journal Sentinel staff—including Bice, Patrick Marley and Jason Stein—covered the players and events surrounding the two John Doe investigations related to Scott Walker.[7]
