Felix Ortiz
Felix Ortiz (Democratic Party) was a member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 51. He assumed office in 1995. He left office on January 1, 2021.
Ortiz (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New York State Assembly to represent District 51. He lost in the Democratic primary on June 23, 2020.
As of the 2015 legislative session, Ortiz serves as Assistant Speaker of the Assembly.
Ortiz was a Democratic candidate for District 38 representative on the New York City Council in New York. Ortiz was defeated in the primary election on September 12, 2017.
Ortiz's political experience includes being a member of the New York City Department of City Planning, a member of the 72nd precinct community council, and a Democratic district leader for the 51st Assembly District.
Biography
Ortiz earned his B.S. in business administration from Boricua College and his M.P.A. from New York University. His professional experience includes working as a senior budget analyst for New York City's mayor's office and as an administration manager for the Bureau of Management and Budget, Office of Bronx Borough President. Ortiz served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1988.[1]
