George Hart
George Luzerne Hart, Jr. (1905-1984) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Hart received a recess appointment from President Dwight Eisenhower on August 29, 1958, to a seat vacated by James Kirkland; he was nominated on January 17, 1959, confirmed by the Senate on September 9, 1959, and received his commission on September 10th. He served as chief judge from 1974-1975. He assumed senior status on May 16, 1979, and served in that capacity until his death on May 21, 1984.[1]
