Georgia Commercial Oil Well, Amendment 3 (1950)

The Georgia Commercial Oil Well Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Georgia on November 7, 1950, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure authorized the general assembly to pay $100,000 to bring the first commercial oil well to the state.[1]
