Gerald Greene (Republican Party) is a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 154. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Greene (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 154. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. He advanced from the Republican primary on May 21, 2024.

Following the 2010 election, Greene switched his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. He stated, “I love the Democratic party, and I have no ill will for anyone in the party. This isn’t about anything that anyone did. I just wanted to be where I could help the people of this district most."[1]

Biography

Gerald Greene lives in Cuthbert, Georgia. Greene earned a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in history from Georgia Southwestern University.[2] His career experience includes owning a greenhouse-nursery and working as a social studies teacher with the Randolph-Clay School System and an instructor of political science and western civilization with Andrew College.[1][2]

Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Ezekiel M. Holley was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Gerald E. Greene was unopposed in the Republican primary. Holley was defeated by Greene in the general election.[7][8][9]
