Henry N. Blake was the fifth Chief Justice of the Montana Supreme Court. He served on the court both when it was the Montana Territorial Supreme Court and then, after Montana became a state in 1889, served as the first Chief Justice of the now-established state court. Altogether, he served as chief justice from 1889-1983.

Prior to serving as Chief Justice, Blake had been appointed to the court by President Ulysses Grant as an Associate Justice.

President Harrison appointed him as Chief Justice to replace N.W. McConnell. He served until his election to the position in 1889.
