Howard Sanderford
Howard Sanderford (Republican Party) was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 20. He assumed office in 1989. He left office on November 9, 2022.
Sanderford (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 20. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Sanderford was born on October 18, 1935. His professional experience includes serving as the president of the Computer Leasing Company, Inc., working for the IBM Corporation, and serving as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has served as a member of the Alabama Board of Medical Scholarship Awards, Alabama Commission on Aerospace Sciences, Alabama Management Improvement Program, and the First Baptist Church. He has also served as president of the Huntsville Rotary Club and vice president of the Metropolitan Young Men's Christian Association Board.[1]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Howard Sanderford was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4][5]

Sanderford won re-election to the 20th District Seat in 2010. He defeated David Pinkleton and Frances Taylor in the primary. He faced no opposition in the November 2 general election.[6][7]
