James F. Merow was a federal judge for the United States Court of Federal Claims. He joined the court in 1982 after being nominated by President Ronald Reagan. Prior to joining the court, Merow had served as a trial judge for the United States Court of Claims.[1] Merow passed away on December 23, 2016.[2]

Education

Merow earned his A.B. from George Washington University in 1953 and a J.D. from Washington University Law School. During law school, Merow served on the Board of Editors of the Law Review and the Order of the Coif.[1]

Merow was nominated to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Ronald Reagan on October 1, 1982, and immediately began duty. He retired and assumed senior status on August 5, 1998.[1]
