Education

Willis graduated from Columbia University and New York University School of Law.[1]

Professional career

Before becoming a federal magistrate judge, Willis was a public defender for over 20years, serving as a staff attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services, in Massachusetts, and at the Law Office of the Cooke County Public Defender, in Illinois. She joined the Federal Defenders of New York in 2015.[1]

Judicial career

Southern District of New York

Jennifer Willis joined the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York as a federal magistrate judge in 2022. She succeeded Judge Margaret Fox, who retired.[1]
