Jerry Freeman
Jerry Freeman (b. January 27, 1943) was a Republican candidate for District 1 of the Alabama State Senate. The primary election was on June 1, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.[1]
Biography
Freeman works as a Pediatrician for Shoals Pediatric Group. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Florida in 1964. He then attended Oak Ridge Associated Universities vis North Texas State University in 1970. He later earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Atomic Energy Commission Fellowship at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Freeman also received his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1977.

Freeman defeated opponent Angela M. Laughlin in the June 1 primary, receiving 4,315 votes to Laughlin's 2,686. He was defeated by Tammy Irons (D) in the November 2 general election.[3][4]
