John McNairy
John McNairy was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Tennessee. He was nominated by President George Washington on February 17, 1797. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 20, 1797, and received commission that same day. He was reassigned on April 29, 1802.
John McNairy was reassigned to the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee on April 29, 1802. He resigned on September 1, 1833.[1] McNairy was succeeded in this position by Morgan Welles Brown.
