John Peck II
John Weld Peck II (1913-1993) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and a justice on the Ohio Supreme Court.

Judicial career
Sixth Circuit
Peck was nominated to the Sixth Circuit by President Lyndon Johnson on June 13, 1966, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 22, 1966, and received commission that same day. He assumed senior status on July 1, 1978, and served the Sixth Circuit in that capacity until his death on September 7, 1993.[1]
Southern District of Ohio
Peck received a recess appointment to the Southern District of Ohio from President John F. Kennedy on October 5, 1961, to a new seat created by 75 Stat. 80; he was nominated on January 15, 1962, confirmed by the Senate on April 11, 1962, and received commission the next day. He served the Southern District of Ohio until advancing to the Sixth Circuit on August 4, 1966.[1] Peck was succeeded in this position by Timothy Hogan.
