As a husband, father, and resident of Lee’s Summit for over 35 years, I understand the struggles Lee’s Summit families are facing. We are coming out of a pandemic that has impacted us all; economic uncertainty, rising healthcare costs, and a divided government that is more interested in frivolous spending and arguments than in fixing our problems.

I have volunteered with many organizations over the years, and I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Lee’s Summit Arts Council. I am a long-time member of Lee’s Summit Christian Church, where I serve as the moderator for our church leadership team.

I enjoyed a challenging, but rewarding career at Hallmark, where I worked my way up from an entry level position to leadership roles responsible for multi-million-dollar budgets. I recently retired from my position as a Senior Data Analytics Manager, where I led research teams that provided customer insight to help guide Hallmark’s strategic decisions.

Over the course of my career, I learned the importance of listening to customers and sharing their perspectives throughout the company. As your state representative, I will listen closely to your concerns, and bring your perspective with me to the Missouri legislature.

  • I have spent my career analyzing data and listening to others to find solutions to difficult problems. I want to use that experience to improve educational opportunities for our children, grow our local businesses, and enhance the lives of Lee's Summit residents.
  • From my many conversations, I know that the vast majority of Lee's Summit residents want a representative who they can trust and who will work toward common sense solutions to the problems facing our state. I promise to provide the reasonable, common-sense representation that they have been asking for.
  • I believe fundamentally that ALL our citizens, no matter their gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation deserve equal rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I will advocate for all of our citizens in the Missouri legislature.

I am passionate about supporting public education, protecting the initiative petition process in Missouri, advocating for fair and livable wages for Missouri workers, and providing equal opportunities and rights for all Missouri citizens.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
