Ken Timmerman
Ken Timmerman was a 2014 Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Maryland. His running mate, Charles Lollar, lost in the gubernatorial primary on June 24, 2014, knocking out the Lollar/Timmerman ticket from the general election race.
Timmerman was also a 2012 Republican candidate for the 8th Congressional District of Maryland. Timmerman defeated Gus Alzona, Dave Wallace and Shelly Skolnick in the Republican primary on April 3, 2012.[1]
Timmerman was defeated by Democratic incumbent Chris Van Hollen on November 6, 2012.[2]
Biography
Timmerman is a long-term resident of Kensington, Maryland. He attended Goddard College for a B.A. in 1973 and Brown University in 1976 for his MA.[3]

Issues
Timmerman has acted as "lead investigator" for families of the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in a civil lawsuit against Iran. He has written a book on the religious persecution of Christians in Iran and was nominated for a Nobel Prize in 2006 for his work with John Bolton in "exposing Iran's nuclear weapons program."[5]

Timmerman was a 2014 Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Maryland. He intended to share the ticket with Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles Lollar. Lollar lost in the primary on June 24, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014.

2012
Timmerman ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Maryland's 8th District. Timmerman defeated Gus Alzona, Dave Wallace and Shelly Skolnick in the Republican primary on April 3, 2012.[6]
The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was January 11, 2012.[7]
