Kenny Yuko (Democratic Party) was a member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 25. He assumed office on January 1, 2015. He left office on December 31, 2022.

Yuko (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Ohio State Senate to represent District 25. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Yuko served as state Senate minority leader from 2017 to 2023.[1]

Yuko served in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing District 7 from 2005 to 2012. Yuko's political experience also includes serving on the executive committee of the Democratic Party for Euclid and Wards 10 and 11 (South Euclid, Richmond Heights and Cleveland).[2]

Biography

Yuko attended Cuyahoga Community College and Kent State University. His professional experience includes working as a labor organizer with the Local 860 and as a clothing buyer for Polsky's Department Store.[2]

Elections for the Ohio State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Kenny Yuko defeated Thaddeus Jackson and Ed Jerse in the Democratic primary, while Hasani Crider was unopposed in the Republican primary. Crider was defeated by Yuko in the general election.[4]
