Kevin Smardz is a former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 146 from 2011 to 2013.

Smardz became involved in local politics by serving as a councilman for the Hamburg Town Board and worked as the Hamburg Deputy Town Supervisor. He was also a board member of the Hamburg Industrial Development Agency.

Biography

Smardz earned his B.A. in Communications and Broadcasting from Buffalo State College. His professional experience includes working for various television stations and video production companies in New York before beginning a political career.

Smardz was uncontested in the September 14 Republican primary. Smardz defeated Brad Rybczynski (D) and Daniel M. Kozub (Conservative) in the general election on November 2.[1]
