Kevin Ziegler was born in Southfield, Michigan. He earned a high school diploma from Walled Lake Western High School and a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in 2004. His career experience includes working in sales.[1]

|I've been in local government on Milford Village council for the last 17 years. During this time I have focused on the best methods of helping my constituents and work through their concerns. I feel that now I am ready to adjust my scope to a wider area and work with the great people in District 51 of Michigan.
- I am here to represent the residents of District 51.
- I'll be standing up for our values.
- It will be important to rein in Big Government yet still work with local government.
Maintaining top of the line infrastructure, police, fire, and road maintenance without raising taxes.
My father. He has a way of talking to people and making sure that they feel that their concerns are really heard.

Speaking for my constituents to the other State Representatives in Lansing.
Paperboy! This job really forced me to learn how to talk to people, even when the conversation might not be particularly easy (ie when they owed money).
It is imperative for state legislators to have experience at some level in government. As mentioned previously, I have 17 years on Village Council which will provide a good basis and shorten the initial learning curve.
