Education

Schneider earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.[2]

Professional career

Following law school, Schneider worked as a law clerk for Judge Paul Niemeyer on the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. In 2002, she joined the law firm of Mayer Brown in Chicago as a litigation associate. In 2006, Schneider became an assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where she worked in various roles until her appointment as a magistrate judge to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2021.[2]
