Michael Moates
Michael Moates (Libertarian Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Texas' 26th Congressional District. He did not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Moates graduated from Boswell High School. He obtained an A.A. in criminal justice from Lone Star College and a B.S. with concentrations in communications and psychology from Tarleton State University. As of August 2019, Moates was a Ph.D. student in a psychology program at Fielding Graduate University.[1]
Moates worked on Kelli Ward's (R) U.S. Senate campaign as a media operations intern. His professional experience includes working as the director of communications for American Youth in Politics, and as a member of a community emergency response team.[1]
Moates is a journalist and a behavior therapist. As of August 2019, Moates was affiliated with the D.C. Chronicle, where he served as chairman. He previously served as an editor for the Millenial Post.[1]
