The Court of Claims is a court in Ohio that has authority over all civil actions taken against the state and its agencies.[1] The Court of Claims handles cases for the entire state from one location in Columbus, Ohio.[2]

Judges

Court of Claims judges are assigned by the chief justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. Three-judge panels hear claims against the state for personal injury, property damage, contract and wrongful death, and compensation for crime victims.[3]
