Patrick Boylan is a member of the Nevada Board of Regents, representing District 5. He assumed office on January 15, 2021. His current term ends on January 15, 2027.
Boylan ran for election to the Nevada Board of Regents to represent District 5. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Boylan was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Nevada.[1] Boylan was defeated by incumbent Dina Titus in the Democratic primary.[2]
Biography
Patrick Boylan lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Boylan earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems and master's degrees in crisis and emergency management and in educational leadership from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. His career experience includes working as an adjunct computer instructor and chair of the Department of Homeland Security of a baccalaureate degree program. Boylan founded and oversaw the Center for Strategic Analysis.[3]

Incumbent Dina Titus (D) defeated Mary Perry (R), Kamau Bakari (Independent American), and Reuben D'Silva (Independent) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Titus defeated Patrick Boylan and Jose Solorio in the Democratic primary, while Perry defeated Louis Baker, Stephanie Carlisle, Freddy Horne, Gary Johnston, and Jeff Miller to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on June 14, 2016.[4][2][5]
