Gibbs ran for election in the 2012 election for Vermont State Senate Windsor District. Gibbs was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]

Paul Gibbs Jr. ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Windsor 1-2 in 2010. He ran against Elizabeth Coppola and Bryan Shohet in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He lost to Alice Emmons (D) and Cynthia Martin (D) in the November 2, 2010 general election.[2]
