Philemon Dickerson
Philemon Dickerson was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
He was nominated by President Martin Van Buren on February 22, 1841 to replace his brother, Mahlon Dickerson. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 27, 1841, and received commission on March 2, 1841. He served until his death on December 10, 1862.[1] Dickerson was succeeded in this position by Richard Stockton Field.
