Renato Mariotti
Renato Mariotti (Democratic Party) ran for election for Attorney General of Illinois. He lost in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2018.
Biography
Renato Mariotti was born and lives in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Naperville Central High School in 1994. Mariotti earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Chicago in 1998 and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School in 2001. His career experience includes working as a clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals, as an assistant United States attorney, and as a partner with Thompson Coburn LLP. As a federal prosecutor, Mariotti investigated and prosecuted cases in areas including gun trafficking, tax evasion, fraud, obstruction of justice, public corruption, child exploitation, and more. He is the co-chair of Lawyers4Choice and serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society.[1][2]
