Rhoda Jacobs
Rhoda S. Jacobs is a former Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 42 from 1978 to January 1, 2015. While in office, Jacobs served as Assistant Speaker of the Assembly.
Jacobs did not run for re-election in 2014.[1] Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn (D) won her seat in the November 4, 2014, general election.
Her previous political experience includes assistant speaker pro tempore for the New York State Assembly and chairperson of the Majority Program Committee, New York State Assembly.
Biography
Jacobs earned her B.A. and M.A. from Brooklyn College.[2]

Jacobs ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 42. She defeated Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. She was unchallenged in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4][5]

On November 4, 2008, Jacobs won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 42, defeating opponent Alan Kesler (R).[8][9]
