Sam Greco is a conservative Republican candidate for the Florida House of Representatives District 19. He served his country as an active duty JAG officer in the United States Navy from 2019-2024, and was most recently based at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, FL. During his time on active duty, Sam had the opportunity to provide legal services in a variety of environments, including underway aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS West Virginia. Sam continues to serve in the United States Navy Reserves today.

Sam married his wife Elanda in 2023. As a young child, Elanda and her family legally immigrated to the United States following the fall of communism in Europe, where they witnessed destructive socialist policies first-hand. Sam's family has lived in Florida for nearly 100 years. His great-grandfather ran the barbershop at Coral Gables’ Biltmore Hotel, where Sam and Elanda got married. Sam’s maternal grandfather was a landowner in Flagler County, and his paternal grandfather graduated with one of the first post-war classes from the University of Miami.

Sam is blessed to live and work in a state where the American Dream remains alive. Sam is a conservative fighter who believes that Northeast Florida is the best place in America to raise a family, start a business, and buy a home, and he wants to keep it that way. In Tallahassee, Sam will continue his mission of service, deliver for Flagler and St. Johns Counties, and keep Florida free.

  • Cost of Living - Lower property and automobile insurance by stopping frivolous lawsuits and fraud while bringing more insurers into the market. Provide tax relief by working to pass and implement Amendment 5 to expand homestead exemptions and save Floridians money.
  • Stop Illegal Immigration - Support and empower our law enforcement to combat the drugs and crime flowing into Florida, ensure there are no sanctuary cities or counties in Florida, and end taxpayer benefits for illegal immigrants.
  • Infrastructure – Advocate for effective policies and secure sufficient funding from the state budget to upgrade and expand infrastructure so that our quality of life remains high, and our economy continues to thrive.

I am passionate about improving the lives of Floridians. From keeping our quality of life high and our cost of living low, to ensuring that we’re caring for our veterans and senior citizens, to supporting our first responders and enabling them to keep our communities safe, my focus is on ensuring that Florida is the best place in America to live.

In high school I worked in a restaurant and as a lifeguard. I learned important lessons on the value of hard work, on not being afraid to get your hands dirty to accomplish a goal, and on the importance of being responsible and committed to any pursuit you set yourself to.

Florida is very fortunate to have a great Governor in Ron DeSantis. Our state constitution defines the relationship between the branches of government. As a legislature, it is our role to pass a balanced budget and the conservative legislation that we believe to be in the best interest of Floridians. Certainly, the Governor's collaboration, input, and perspective is always very welcome and greatly appreciated.

The greatest challenge facing Florida over the next decade is cost of living. The Biden Administration’s reckless spending and resulting inflation has significantly contributed to a rising cost of living in Florida that presents numerous challenges at many levels that we must address.

I believe it's beneficial for legislators to have core conservative convictions. Too often we've seen politicians move from one office to the next without any principle about what they stand for and why they want to serve the public.

Building relationships with other legislators is critical to being effective. The Florida Legislature has 120 representatives and 40 senators, each with their own districts, needs, and priorities. It is incumbent upon an effective legislator to be able to build relationships and collaborate with their colleagues, putting together coalitions of individuals who can work together to pass meaningful legislation.

Some legislators that I admire are Senator Chuck Grassley, Congressman Mike Waltz, and Florida House Speaker Paul Renner. Senator Grassley is a statesman who has done a remarkable job confirming constitutional conservative judges whose rulings our nation will benefit from for decades to come. I had the opportunity to serve as a law clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee under Senator Grassley’s chairmanship and assist in this work. Congressman Waltz served our country faithfully in the Army and is a model example of how the experience of serving as a military officer enables one to be an effective leader and legislator. Speaker Renner has been one of the most consequential Speakers of the Florida House of Representatives in our state’s history. His record of legislative accomplishments is unparalleled, and Floridians will benefit for generations from his tremendous legacy of achievements. Speaker Renner has endorsed my candidacy, and I'm honored to have earned his support. Our Flagler and St. Johns County district has been very well served by his public servant leadership style and I'm looking forward to carrying on his legacy of conservative, principled leadership for our district.
