|My name is Shari Baber. I am a 30 year resident of Idaho. I'm running for office because I care about this community healthcare. Housing and education are my focuses, clean energy and prison reform are also things that I'm very passionate about. If I am elected I will make sure that these things are conversations that we have with the community in order to make a difference in the communities that we live in..
- Your vote is your voice. In order to have your voice heard you must use your vote.
- Your healthcare should be between you and your physician. It should not be decided by the government..
- Public education should be a right for everyone and the quality of your child's education is what gives them the foundation they need for successful future.
Clean air, clean water and clean energy to sustain us for the future generations.
I look up to my mother the Reverend Dr. Alice Baber Banks I have watched her serve my entire life and at 92 years old she still serves the community as best she can. It is my goal to continue her legacy and leave a legacy for my own children to continue to work for equal rights for everyone and for everyone to understand that their vote is their voice, and we must use it
Honesty transparency, The ability to listen and comprehend.integrity, and compassion
I bring people together I give voices to the voiceless I Build Bridges in this community and have served as the founder of the Boise Soul Food Festival for a very long time last year We had almost 30,000 people attend the park. This is evident that making spaces where people feel welcome and have a voice .
I am passionate about young people. Last year in 2023 ,
The Brown Like Me mentorship program was able to take 10 teenagers to Washington DC on the Close Up tour to teach them how their voices mattered and government. It is a passion of mine to teach the young people how our government works and how important it is for them to have a voice.
To serve and fight for the things the voters have entrusted you with.
I would like for people to remember me as a person who loves people right where they are. A person who wanted to make changes for the better. A person who loved Idaho, who built a life for herself and her generation to come in a city of trees. This city provides life sustaining oxygen for me when I moved here. I will forever try to pay this forward!
I remember the tears that my mother cried the day Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated. It has been in my mind. My whole life and his legacy is why I serve the way I serve..
My very first job was a stylist and a hair salon 44 years later I am now a salon owner and have been in my field for all those 44 years. I believe you got love what you do in order to do it well..
The four agreements
It's a small book with life changing ideas!
You bring me joy, by Anita Baker
I don't give power to the word struggle. What ever has happened is a blessing or a lesson. I will always embrace them both.
Understanding, compassion. Negotiations
Keeping Idaho the beautiful place that it is. And navigating the growth that is making it's way. I believe there's a way to do both.
Yes, I do believe that is beneficial to build a relationship with other legislators.
Each person being willing to come to the table for a conversation, each person willing to stand fast on some things and negotiating on others is how our system is beneficial for everyone.
I honor the work of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King. I respect the work of our retired senator Cherie Buckner Webb these are the things that I take dear to heart and will continue to thrive to keep Idaho a welcoming space for everyone
I'm not sure at this time
What is black and white and red all over?
