I am a proud Michigander with strong family values. I have a bachelor’s degree in youth work with additional training in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix. I have spent the last 20+ years working in the software industry. As a mother and grandmother of children in Macomb County schools, I believe in investing in our public schools and our future. I respect our state and federal constitutions and will work to preserve and protect them. I am a strong believer in the value of every individual citizen and their civil rights.

As a candidate committed to the values of equity, justice, and progress, I proudly stand with the principles of reproductive freedom, the empowerment of public education, and the unwavering support for our LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Pro-Choice: I firmly believe that every person has the right to make decisions about their own body. This includes the right to access safe and legal abortion services. I will fight to ensure that reproductive health care remains accessible to all, without interference from the government. Protecting this fundamental right is essential to ensuring the health, dignity, and autonomy of all individuals.
  • Pro Public Schools: Our public schools are the bedrock of our democracy and the key to our future prosperity. I am dedicated to strengthening our public education system by ensuring that schools are adequately funded, teachers are supported, and students are given every opportunity to succeed. Every child deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of their zip code. Investing in our schools means investing in our children, our communities, and our future.
  • Pro LGBTQIA+: As a member of this community, I stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ and am committed to fighting for equal rights and protections for all. Discrimination and bigotry have no place in our society. I will work tirelessly to ensure that every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, is treated with respect and dignity. This includes defending the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, supporting inclusive policies in our schools and workplaces, and promoting a culture of acceptance and love.

I am passionate about preserving our country as a democratic Constitutional republic and our citizen's individual freedoms and civil rights.

Together, we can build a society that respects individual choices, values education, and celebrates diversity. I am dedicated to being a champion for these causes and to creating a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

The most important characteristic for a politician is honesty. I realize that's a rare find these days, but it's the basis of every other aspect of politics (or should be). In this time when truth and facts are debated between the parties, it is important for candidates and elected officials to be trust worthy.

I am a hard-worker. I was raised to value and enjoy hard work and it has served me well in my life. I possess the ability to respect and negotiate with those with which I don't agree. I believe in the value of each individual; everyone should be heard. I also have strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Elected officials must listen to their constituents. The voters are the ones who put them in office; they are morally obligated to hear their wishes and act accordingly.

I would like to leave a legacy of love and kindness, but not at the loss of my values and autonomy. When my grandchildren tell their children about me, I want them to remember that I stood firmly for what I believed in, but delivered my beliefs with love and understanding.

The first historical event that I remember is Watergate. I was 6 years old. I distinctly remember my first grade teacher asking us what we thought of Richard Nixon. I confidently raised my hand and said, "He's a bad man that shouldn't be president."

My first job was selling snow cones out of the back of our family station wagon when I was in middle school. This continued every summer until my high school graduation. During college, I worked several jobs at once to pay my way through, ranging from secretary to janitor to waitress.

I believe our biggest challenge in Michigan over the next decade is the transition from gas to electric automobiles. This transition is a sea change for our economy. Michigan's economy has been dominated by the gas-power automotive industry for over 100 years. Navigating this change without negatively disrupting unions, the economy and individual workers will be difficult, and will require cooperation, compromise and communication.

I believe in full financial transparency into our government. Because the government is dealing with public funds gathered from the constituents, the constituents should be able to see where every penny is spent. With this knowledge, the voters can hold their elected officials accountable.
