Biography
Shelly Hutchinson was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and lives in Snellville, Georgia.[1][2] Hutchinson earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Louisiana State University in 1993 and a master's degree in social work from the University of Georgia in 2000. Her career experience includes owning and directing The Social Empowerment Center and working as an adjunct professor with the University of Georgia, a contractor/trainer with the Center for the Support of Families, and a caseworker with the Georgia Department of Human Services.[1][3] Hutchinson has served as the treasurer and the chair of the human resources committee of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, Inc.[3]
