Usha Reddi (Democratic Party) is a member of the Kansas State Senate, representing District 22. She assumed office on January 11, 2023. Her current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Reddi (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the Kansas State Senate to represent District 22. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. She advanced from the Democratic primary on August 6, 2024.

Democratic precinct leaders from Riley, Geary, and Clay counties appointed Reddi to the state Senate on January 5, 2023, to replace Tom Hawk (D).[1]

Biography

Usha Reddi was born in India, grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and lives in Manhattan, Kansas. Reddi earned a B.A. in developmental psychology from Ohio State University, a B.S. in elementary education, and an M.S. in educational leadership from Kansas State University. Her career experience includes working as a teacher. Reddi was elected to the Manhattan City Commission in April 2013 and re-elected in 2017 and 2021. She served as mayor from 2016 to 2017 and in 2020.[2]
