William Allen Woods
William Allen Woods (1837-1901) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.[1]
Seventh Circuit
Woods was nominated by President Benjamin Harrison on December 16, 1891. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 17, 1892, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on June 29, 1901.[1]
District of Indiana
Woods was previously a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Indiana.
He received a recess appointment from President Chester Arthur on May 2, 1883 and was nominated on December 18th. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 7, 1884, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until March 21, 1892.[1]
