Voters want honest representatives who fulfill their duty to advocate for their needs and desires, keeping open lines of communication throughout their tenure. As the incumbent candidate in this race, I have an established track record of continually gaining the trust of my constituents through communicating with them regularly, understanding their needs, and doing what I say I will do. In my time at the legislature, I have built relationships and moved policy, ensuring I am voting in the interest of my constituents. In doing so, I have gained the trust of my constituents.

  • Healthcare (including mental healthcare) should be a right that is afforded to all Missourians, not just to those who are more affluent or because one’s health insurance is tied to their employment. A model like this leaves out far too many people, especially the most vulnerable.
  • Although minimum wages in Missouri will be $12/hr in 2023, it is still not in alignment with the federal minimum wage of $15/hr. Missouri workers deserve to have sustainable, living wages and benefits that help them keep up with everyday struggles of living and increased inflation.
  • There is a lack of adequate funding for our public schools in urban and rural areas. This negatively impacts class sizes, student resources, and the recruitment and retention of qualified teachers. We need to make sure funds for public education are not diverted and the schools are truly "fully funded".

I'm personally passionate about protecting voting rights and increasing voter participation. We need to make voting easier, not harder by creating more opportunities for voters to cast their ballots. Some ways of increasing participation could be enacting automatic registration, same-day registration, no-excuse absentee voting periods prior to elections, and making election day a holiday.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Missouri

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
