Honored to be part of a significant milestone in the journey towards responsible #AI— the celebration of the first signatories of the #AIPact Pledges!  Today, we celebrate a collective commitment to fostering trust in AI. With the #AIAct set to take effect in two years, the AI Pact is a proactive step towards ensuring early compliance and identifying and sharing best practices across sectors. It will be an important instrument to facilitate compliance widely. 🔑 Key Stats: 114 companies have signed on until now, with a diverse range of participants: - 75 large companies (250+ employees) - 11 medium-sized (50-249 employees) - 28 small companies (<50 employees) They represent both the EU (65 companies) and non-EU (49 companies), and include key actors from different parts of the AI value chain and covering a broad range of application sectors (telecom, healthcare, automotive, aeronautics, security, tourism, banking, etc.) It's only a start since the AI Pact is an open process that companies can join anytime.  As part of this initiative, all companies pledge to: - Adopt an AI Governance Strategy to ensure responsible AI use. - Map High-Risk AI Systems for transparent management. - Promote AI Literacy within their organisations to empower employees with ethical AI knowledge. Moreover, more than half of these companies pledge additional AI Pact commitments, such as human oversight, risk mitigation, and transparency in AI-generated content like deep fakes. The AI Pact proves that innovation and regulation can work hand in hand, creating an environment where AI thrives responsibly. This has never been done before! We are announcing a new company, together with the largest telco operators of the world Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, América Móvil, Telefonica, Orange, Vodafone, Singtel airtel, Jio, Telstra and Ericsson. Founded, to accelerate the implementation of Network APIs. Making the enormous and intelligent capabilities of our networks accessible. To developers from around the world.   With #APIs, we’re opening our networks – to create new innovative use cases. Using unique networks features like authentication and performance. We are committing to global APIs standards. Building on the industry-wide CAMARA standards. This will open the next frontier in app development. Making it even easier for developers to build incredible applications on top of our networks.   For example: preventing fraud in financial transaction, by verifying the phone number. Or: Checking the device status. So streaming providers can adjust the video quality. Or even specify the offering for geographical regions, by checking the device locations. All of that, done in seconds. Making connectivity experiences more seamless. More human-centered.   The new company will expose our unique network capabilities to a broad ecosystem of developers. Among others: hyperscalers and independent software vendors. Vonage and Google Cloud will partner with the new company, providing access to their ecosystems of more than ten million developers as well as their partners, like SAP. We’ve already launched our MagentaBusiness APIs together with Ericsson and Vonage in Germany. At #MWC we’ve added number verification and SIM swap to the first set of APIs: quality-on-demand, device-status for roaming and device location. So this is just the beginning.   This truly is a landmark agreement. And a collaboration, that’s a worlds-first in the industry.
