Don Mancini‘s “Chucky” is off to a strong start with its second season, which thus far has premiered the first three episodes. “Chucky” Season 2 has already taken some wild turns, introducing wacky new versions of the killer doll and even teasing the arrival of Glen and Glenda, but how many horror fans have been tuning in to watch the madness unfold?

Bloody Disgusting has learned this week that across all platforms and including repeats, the total viewers for the “Chucky” Season 2 premiere is up to 4.6 million this week!

The “Chucky” Season 2 premiere first aired on Wednesday, October 5 on USA & SYFY, with roughly 335,000 viewers tuning in live on SYFY and roughly 320,000 tuning in live on USA.

In these past two weeks since the premiere, in other words, around 4 million more fans got around to watching Chucky’s return to the small screen, which is a massive win for the horror icon. Horror is currently dominating the box office and the small screen, with icons including Chucky, Michael Myers, Pinhead and Art the Clown all returning for the Halloween season.

And when horror is as hot as this, we ALL win. The genre is thriving, to say the least.

In the Season 2 premiere, “A year after seemingly defeating their nemesis Chucky, the “3 Amigos” Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) begin receiving mysterious, threatening calls from an all-too-familiar-sounding enemy.”

Watch new episodes of “Chucky” on Wednesdays at 9/8c on SYFY and USA Network.

The second season of the Max animated series “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” is officially titled “Gremlins: The Wild Batch,” and it’s headed to the streaming service in Fall 2024.

From Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation, “Gremlins: The Wild Batch” follows Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco, bringing even more magic, mystery and Mogwai mayhem.

“Hot on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai, our heroes journey deep into the American West, coming up against new supernatural creatures and picking up a few mysterious characters along the way.”

Returning series regulars Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio, and Gabrielle Nevaeh will be joined by an all-star guest cast to be announced at a later date.

“Gremlins: The Wild Batch” is produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Steven Spielberg serves as executive producer, along with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, Presidents of Amblin Television, and Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios.

Tze Chun serves as showrunner and executive producer. Brendan Hay serves as executive producer with Dan Krall as Supervising Producer. Joe Dante serves as consulting producer.

“Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” wrapped up back in June of last year. The series was hugely notable for being the first new installment in the franchise since Gremlins 2 back in 1990.

“Secrets of the Mogwai” creatively expanded upon the world of the franchise in exciting and unexpected ways, managing to retroactively enrich the movies along the way. That first season saw Gizmo and a young Sam Wing battling colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore, and it sounds like “The Wild Batch” will bring the franchise back to the United States.
