Представленные на памятниках раннего железного века лесостепи и юга лесной зоны Восточной Европы треугольные бронзовые привески (украшения из состава ожерелий, женский убор) были подвергнуты типологическому анализу. Выделены четыре типа по различным элементам, составляющим декор щитка (колечки со сквозными отверстиями, псевдозернь, полусферы-«скорлупки», биспиральные S-видные волюты). Картографический анализ этих находок показал, что для каждого выделенного типа характерен свой особый ареал, несмотря на то, что все ареалы отчасти перекрываются друг с другом. Вероятно, это указывает на родственные этнически, но всетаки разные группы населения (племена древних лесных балтов), археологически соответствующие юхновской археологической культуре и традиционно считающейся единой милоградско-подгорцевской археологической культуре. При этом типичные лесостепные подгорцевские древности и лесные милоградские древности по данной группе привесок весьма четко разделяются как типологически, так и территориально. Другая часть находок, наиболее характерных для юхновских древностей Посеймья и Подесенья указывает на возможное существование некоего анклава юхновского или близкого к нему населения в бассейне реки Оскол. Впрочем, учитывая то, что речь ведется о женском уборе, находки могут отражать и регулярные межплеменные браки. Аннотация: рассматриваются три основных концепции во взглядах на движущие силы и причины Смутного времени рубежа XVI-XVII вв. в Московском государстве – охранительной, рациональной и классовой. Объективные суждения формируются на стыке концепций, поскольку это позволяет учесть максимум влияющих на исторический процесс факторов. Исключение составляет ультраохранительный вариант, фактически выродившийся в пропаганду, закамуфлированную квазиисторической риторикой.

Abstract: three main concepts are considered in the views of the driving forces and causes of the Time of Troubles at the turn of the XVI-XVII centuries. in the Muscovite state - protective, rational and class. Objective judgments are formed at the junction of concepts, since this allows one to take into account the maximum factors influencing the historical process. An exception is the ultra-protective version, which has actually degenerated into propaganda camouflaged with quasi-historical rhetoric.

Вводятся в научный оборот сведения о находках трубчато-втульчатых бронзовых топоров в Черниговском полесье (бассейн Средней Десны, Украина), оказавшихся в частных собраниях коллекционеров древности. Все три топора могут быть отнесены к типологической группе «кртенов». Основная зона концентрации таких находок лежит на территории Венгрии, Румынии, Австрии, Чехии, Словакии, южной Польши и карпатской части Украины. Многие из них связаны с кладами (возможно с погребениями племенной элиты). Находки в Черниговской области Украины существенно расширяют ареал распространения таких изделий. Топоры типа «кртенов» датируются временем рубежа среднего и позднего бронзового века. На территории Подесенья они могут быть связаны с памятниками сосницкой археологической культуры. Это дает информацию о культурных контактах и возможных торговых связях населения бассейна Десны в начале позднего бронзового века.
Information about the findings of tubular-sleeve bronze axes in Chernihiv woodland (the basin of the Middle Desna, Ukraine), which ended up in private collections of antiquity collectors, is being introduced into scientific circulation. All three axes can be assigned to the typological group of "krtenov". The main concentration zone of such finds lies in Hungary, Romania, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, southern Poland and the Carpathian part of Ukraine. Many of them are associated with treasures (possibly with the burial of the tribal elite). Findings in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine significantly expand the distribution area of such products. Axes of the "krtenov" type date from the turn of the Middle and Late Bronze Age. On the territory of Podesenye they can be associated with monuments of the Sosnitsa archaeological culture. Аннотация: Вводятся в научный оборот сведения о четырех находках втульчатых висообушных бронзовых бое-вых топоров на территории Посдесенья. Два из Клинцовского и Суземского районов Брянской обл. РФ относятся к разновидностям колонтаевского типа, характерного для катакомбных древностей степной зоны Восточной Европы и датируются средним бронзовым веком. Еще два относятся к группе узковислообушных, характерных для абашевской и срубной культур позднего бронзового века Восточноевропейской степи и лесостепи. Находки эти позволяют предполагать, что на территорию Среднего Подесенья в среднем и начале позднего бронзового веков проникают носители катакомбных-посткатакомбных и абашевских традиций. Information about four finds of bushy visobus bronze battle axes on the territory of Poddeseniya is introduced into scientific circulation. Two of the Klintsy and Suzemka districts of the Bryansk region in the Russia belong to the Colon-taevsky type, characteristic of the catacomb antiquities of the steppe zone of Eastern Europe and date from the Middle Bronze Age. Two more belong to the group of narrow-leafy, typical for the Abashevskaya and, then, the logging cultures of the Late Bronze Age of the East European steppe and forest-steppe. These findings suggest that in the Middle and Early Late Bronze Ages carriers of catacomb-post-catacomb and Abashevo traditions penetrate the territory of the Middle Podgodyan-skie. In all likelihood, these displacements of tribal areas are associated with shifts in the boundaries of natural zones during climate aridization.

Статья посвящена некоторым аспектам изучения культур раннего бронзового века в среднее течение рек Десна и Ипуть. На фоне более двух сотен зарегистрированных находок топоров бронзового века имеется ряд находок, не укладывающихся в местные массовые серии. На рассматриваемой территории выявлена серия находок клиновидных черешковых топоров Борисово-Лепельского типа (Новозыбковский и Суражский районы Брянской области РФ). Кроме того, в северной части Брянской области найдены втульчатые каменные ладьевидные топоры с невыразительными втулками (могильник Белынец, раскопки В.В. Кропоткина в Жуковском районе; Клетнянский, Брянский, Унечский, Суражский районы Брянской области РФ). Особо следует выделить втульчатый сверленый каменный топор с плоской спинкой, имеющий четко выделяющуюся втулку (Мглинский музей) и находящий ближайшие аналогии на территории стран Балтии. Все перечисленные находки типологически датируются ранним бронзовым веком (середина-вторая половина III тысячелетия н.э.). При этом, обозначенные типы изделий не являются характерными для так называемой Деснинской группы Среднеднепровской культуры. Они указывают на наличие культурных связей с северо-белорусским и балтийским регионами, лежащими к северу и северо-западу от Среднего течения Десны и Ипути. Характер связей предстоит уточнить. The article is devoted to some aspects of studying the cultures of the early Bronze Age in the middle reaches of the Desna and Iput`. Against the background of more than two hundred recorded finds of Bronze Age axes, there are a number of finds that do not fit into local mass series. In the territory under consideration, a series of finds of wedge-shaped petiolate axes of the Borisov-Lepel type (Novozybkovsky and Surazhsky districts of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation) was revealed. In the northern part of the Bryansk region, stone sleeve-like boot-axes with inexpressive sleeve were found (the Belynets burial ground, the excavations of V.V. Kropotkin in the Zhukovsky district; Kletnyansky, Bryansky, Unechsky, Surazhsky districts of the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation). Particularly noteworthy is the stone axe with a flat back, which has a clearly distinguished sleeve (Mglin Museum) and finds the closest analogies in the Baltic countries. All of these findings are typologically dated to the Early Bronze Age (middle-second half of the 3rd millennium AD). Moreover, the indicated types of products are not characteristic of the so-called Desninsky group of the Middle Dnieper culture. They indicate the presence of cultural ties with the north-Belarusian and Baltic regions lying to the north and northwest of the middle reaches of the Desna and Iput`. The nature of the ties remains to be clarified. Демонстрируются свидетельства присутствия на территории Брянского Подесенья (среднее течение Десны) артефактов, связанных с катакомбной культурной общностью (среднедонская катакомбная культура) и посткатакомбной бабинской культуры (культура многоваликовой керамики). Таким образом, в относительно однородный культурный массив лесных (пра-балтских?) культур шнуровой керамики в среднем бронзовом веке с юга вклинились обитатели лесостепной и степной природных зон. Выводы сделаны по результатам типологического и пространственного анализа находок каменных топоров из фондов краеведческих музеев Брянской области. Задача археологов на настоящем этапе исследований-это поиск в установленных ареалах распространения случайных находок поселенческих, а возможно и погребальных памятников многоваликовой керамики.

Did the neanderthal of flowers give to ergaster? Some considerations about the possibility of the existence of paleanthropes with other human species in the Desnian refugium The hypothesis of the coexistence of different and in different degrees of evolutionarily advanced species of the genus Homo is put forward. It is assumed that small but capable of reproducing populations of more ancient species could persist in refugia for tens and even hundreds of thousands of years. They were able to adapt to the changing environment, but to maintain in their almost unchanged the usual ways of treating the stone and making tools. As a possible argument, a typological and technological comparison of products from Taman early Paleolithic locations and the location of Negotino 4 on the Desna. It is noteworthy that the Neanderthal refugium was located later in the same area, in which all the conditions were created for the possible contact of Neanderthals and sapiens.

The documents found in the archives of archaeologist K.M. Polikarpovich are put into circulation and analyzed, shedding light on the plans of the Desninskaya Complex Archaeological Expedition under the general guidance of M.V. Voevodsky (Moscow State University). The excavations of the Eliseevichi and Yudinovo sites on the Sudost River were supposed. The presented cost estimates give an idea of the cost of archaeological work and some features of the organization of expeditions in the pre-war USSR. The war that came to the territory of the USSR canceled out plans. The planned exca-vations were deployed by KM. In the post-war years, Polikarpovich was independently, with funding not from Moscow and Orel, but from the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR.

При этом она дополняет наши представления о хозяйстве юхновской культуры. The critical analysis of the predecessor researches works concerning the location and the typology of the Upper Paleolithic settlement is given in the article. Starting from the conception of multiregions, the author marks out two types of settlements for the Desna basin: poly functional (the “all-the-year-round” and “summer ones” ) and mono functional (works for the primary stone treatment and kill sites). The different types of the sites imply the different strategy of location. The presence of the mammoth “cemetery" is treated like one of the factors of “all-the-year-round” settlement location. The prevalence of the summer settlements on the fundamental bank and on the inter-gully capes is due to the floods, which are numerous in the hottest season along with the active frozen melting.

Загадка назначения так называемых «палеолитических Венер» - одна из проблем, вот уже более ста лет стоящая перед археологией, культурной антропологией, искусствоведением. В обзоре дан широкий спектр опубликованных в научной печати мнений по данной проблематике – от традиционных до весьма дискуссионных и оригинальных. Они систематизированы по четырем основным направлениям. 1. Эротико-эстетическое назначение (искусство ради искусства или искусство как воплощение сексуальности). 2. Теологическое назначение (фетиши, изображающие верховное женское божество, Великую Мать-Богиню). 3. Ритуально-магическое назначение (вместилища духов-помощников шамана либо духов-покровителей семьи и очага – аналогов римских ларов и пенатов). 4. Бытовое назначение (игрушки, персонажи первобытного «театра-вертепа», обучающие предметы). Archaeozoological observations on the materials of the feudal castle "Hillfort Zhideevka" excavation
Abstract: Archaeozoological analysis of osteological material from the Hillfort Zhideevka (Kursk region, Russia) showed a weak development of hunting and fishing (although there is a small amount of game in the materials) and the important role of livestock. The basis of livestock breeding was the breeding of pigs and the dairy-meat direction of cattle breeding. The role of sheep breeding is secondary. The inhabitants of the castle did not eat the horse, which differed significantly from the northerners, in whose lands the ancient settlement is located.
Археозоологический анализ остеологического материала с городища Жидеевка (Курская область, Россия) показал слабое развитие охоты и рыболовства (хотя небольшое количество дичи в материалах имеется) и важную роль животноводства. The utilitarian and mythological interpretation of the spatulas with top (snow-throwing with the image of guardians-mediators). 3. The species belonging to the broken figure of the beast. Comparative morphology established that this is a woolly rhinoceros.

To determine the paleoclimate of the time of existence of residential objects (complexes) of the Upper Paleolithic Settlement of Avdeevo (Russia, the Kursk Region, the Seym River, the radiocarbon age 23140-16800 years ago, the circle of the Eastern Gravette monuments), the arealograms method was applied (overlapping the fauna areas for the cultural layer of the corresponding complexes ). Cartographic superposition of modern ranges of fauna species from the cultural layer was made. The area of intersection of the maximum number of areas should have climate indicators similar to the time of functioning of the residential object or settlement. Extinct species (as a rule, ecologically plastic species) were not taken into account. Was excluded are small rodents, whose connection with the cultural layer is questionable. According to the arealograms of the faunas of two residential complexes, the climate is defined as a severe continental one. The second complex (Avdeevo-New) is probably associated with a period of arid climate before the formation of permafrost or with island permafrost. In terms of its parameters, this paleoclimate approaches the modern climate of the upper Ural River near the town of Orsk (Russia, Orenburg Region). Here is represented the steppe avifauna. For the first complex (Avdeevo-Old) a colder period is recorded, probably with permafrost. There are more cold-tolerant species in the avifauna. Fauna as a whole is poorer than in the second complex. This climate finds modern analogies in the lower reaches of the river Ob near Salekhard city (Russia, Yamal-Nenets autonomous district). Thus, indirectly was confirmed the asynchrony functioning of residential complexes in Avdeevo.
С целью выяснения палеоклимата, производится картографическое наложение современных ареалов животных из культурного слоя стоянки Авдеево (Россия, Курская обл., 23140-16800 л.н.). Район пересечения максимального числа ареалов должен иметь показатели климата сходные со временем функционирования жилого объекта или стоянки. По ареалограммам фаун двух жилых комплексов климат определен как суровый континентальный. Второй комплекс (Авдеево-Новое) возможно связан с периодом аридного климата до формирования многолетнемерзлой толщи или с островной мерзлотой. Для первого комплекса (Авдеево-Старое) фиксируется более холодный период, вероятно с многолетней мерзлотой. Косвенно подтверждена разновременность жилых комплексов Авдеево.
