Have you heard how ConeTec's CPT rigs are like the Swiss Army Knife of site characterization? To help demonstrate this we are proud to present the first video in the series: Site Characterization by ConeTec. This ConeTec produced animation shows SCPT, eVST, soil sampling, and piezometer installations. Additionally, PMT, DMT, NMR and groundwater sampling can be also be deployed, all from one rig!

Join us this week as our 'Meet the Office' series visits California, USA. ConeTec’s history in California goes back to 2015 when California Push Technologies joined the ConeTec Group. Over this time, our operations in the region have grown significantly. Now, with two offices, one in Southern California and another in Northern California, our local team of skilled operators, geologists and engineers is actively serving multiple industries. From infrastructure development in downtown Los Angeles, to environmental investigations at military bases, to offshore ports and wind energy in the Pacific Ocean, the California Operations team has a long history of working throughout the West Coast of the US. Our offices offer both drilling and CPT services, including 30-ton truck rigs, track rigs, rotary and auger drill rigs. We have Ramsets for limited access and track Geoprobe rigs with sonic and heli-portable options available for large projects. The Cali team can do it all – resistivity, MiHPT, high quality Vs-Vp CPTu, geotechnical and environmental drilling, electric vane shear testing, dilatometer testing, iBPT, geophysical testing, undisturbed sampling, and more. Do you need full-service site characterization services in California? Reach out to our Team! Proud day! We Mikisew Group and ConeTec honoured our University of Alberta scholarship winners with lunch, congratulations Samantha Dabels, Orville Orena and Nate Petty on winning the Mikisew-ConeTec Award, good luck with your studies in the coming year. This evening we sponsored the Geotechnical Society of Edmonton AGM and got to listen to an inspiring talk by Andy Small regarding the future of tailings in the next 6 years. Can’t wait to talk further on brittleness and measuring void ratio insitu! Now, time for bed, I will need some rest if I plan to top this day tomorrow ;)
