Institute on Diversity Participants Announced

The second annual institute convenes for two weeks in June 2024. CASBS fellows Mary Murphy (2015-16) and Sylvia Perry (2022-23) return as its co-directors.

Organizations Institute Participants Announced

The sixth cohort of the institute, comprised of 16 early career scholars, will join co-directors Robert Gibbons and Woody Powell at the Center for two weeks in July.

New Building Dedicated

In fall 2023, CASBS dedicated the first new building erected on its campus since the Center opened in 1954. The event marked the culmination of a near-decade process and heralds a new era of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
 

Research Programs

Support for Social Science of Caregiving Project

A CASBS project is rethinking the philosophical, biological, psychological, political, and economic foundations of care and caregiving. It will generate a cross-disciplinary synthesis, develop a general theory of care, and inform policy discussions.

Announcing the 2024-25 CASBS Fellows

The class is comprised of 35 scholars and practitioners representing 14 U.S. institutions and 12 international institutions and programs.
