25y/o 🏳️‍⚧️🇨🇦 third culture kid from the mideast back in my citizenship country. He/him only, no sweat if you didnt know and call me "they," though. Pathetic video game men enthusiast, AO3 liker, irredeemable media enjoyer, seeker outer of problematicism, 100% no-nuance supporter of the absolute worst thing youre about to assume of me based on that. Idgaf about "DNI"s or ship discourse regarding people who arent real i have a job. I'm also an atheist, a theater kid, and a furry so if you can't handle that without resorting to harassment I suggest you go steal some middle schooler's lunch money instead.
Because I get a lot of harassment, I will not turn on anon, but I will respect your wish to remain private if you still want to send an ask and you let me know (assuming you respect me. i retain my right to ignore requests for privacy if they are preceded by cyberbullying)

Do NOT send me fundraisers. I will not post them, I do not trust random asks sent to me by internet strangers who I don’t know the intentions of, and I will not be taking that risk. I will delete all fundraising asks sent to me, and if you send them multiple times, you will be blocked.

This is not me being heartless, this is me being safe in a time when folks seem to be forgetting basic internet safety.

At what age did you move out of your parents’ home for good?

17 or younger

18–21

22–24

25–27

27–30

31–35

36 or older

I have never moved out of my parents’ home “for good”

I never lived with my parents/I’ve been in foster or govt care all my life/etc

“For good” meaning that you had a reasonable expectation that you wouldn’t be moving back in with your parents later. For example:

  • If you moved to college but still returned to your parents’ home in between terms, that would NOT count as “for good.”
  • If you moved out expecting it to be “for good” but later had to move back in due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. you lost your job or your housing), count the FIRST time you originally moved out “for good.”

heyyyy if you’re a young queer person arguing with older queers because they use “outdated terms” then you need to like, sit your ass down and actually learn from them and understand 😭

I see so many younger queer people try to push other queers (young and old) into boxes or labels they feel is best for that person because like, they can’t comprehend people existing outside of labels or a direct binary or hell just being comfortable with terms that existed during their time period.

same young queer people: we need more freaky queers!!!!!!!!!

older transgender person: I’m a transexual lesbian who has slept with men in the past and am polyam with other transexuals

young queers: IN LITERALLY FUCKING SHAKING YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!!!!!!

ceasarslegion:

Started on half a tablet of the sleep meds my doctor gave me. Let’s see if it finally knocks me out tonight

I slept from 10pm to 5am. I didn’t dream and it wasn’t as restful as my sleep usually was before the Stress hit but I slept all the way through 7 hours. A cup of coffee would wake me up from this, I won’t be dead tired and irritable and doomery all day.

Guys I slept for the first time in a month. I didn’t toss and turn or shuffle around my apartment or somehow end up on my couch at one point. I just slept. And I feel okay. Like the antidepressant part of what my doctor prescribed I was skeptical about because I don’t… really have clinical depression. But he and my pharmacist both said it’s not like, meant to be permanent and it’s not habit-forming, it’s for temporary environmental depression. It’s to stabilize out more sensitive moods long enough to help people get out of really tough times without being paralyzed by them, and then they can stop taking it when everythings okay again. I didn’t even know those types of medications existed.

Like I’m not jumping for joy or anything but I feel okay. And that’s better than being paralyzed with hopelessness about my current circumstances. I can work with this to get out of them, and then I can get back to normal. I won’t be paralyzed by fear and panic and thoughts of how hopeless everything is if I’ll feel neutral and objective about those things instead of like my life is falling apart.

the absolute worst thing is that, objectively, if he was not real, trump would be funny as fuck. as a skit character? like literally fucking hilarious. but no, he’s not a dramatized, satirical parody that exaggerates a stereotype. no. this man is REAL. and that is. fucking terrifying

elminster-big-naturals:

(david attenbourgh crouching beside the worst bg3 take you have ever seen in your life) with enough time, media illiteracy, and over-exposure to the most inane parts of the fandom, the schism between canon text and fanon becomes so large that gamers start to fall in, and so the inevitable “actually this thing i love is irredeemable trash and evil and they’re doing it ON PURPOSE to spite ME specifically!” doom spiral begins. it’s a well documented phenomenon, known among seasoned rpg players as the ‘dragon age effect’. sadly there is yet to be a cure for this affliction, and the rest of the fan ecosystem can only live in hope that the affected move on to their next source of ire before the entire herd suffers for it…

Would you consider someone who makes $65,000 USD per year to be rich?

Yes

No

Who the fuck is voting no and can you please give me your money? Sincerely someone who makes about $17,000 a year

Someone who makes $65k may not be “as poor” as someone who makes $17k a year but that doesn’t make them rich. You’re both still pretty damn poor.

They’re only making about $31 an hour. This is how much my mom makes as a nurse, an “essential worker.”

She has just enough money to pay her bills. She lives in a tiny, crappy house. Her car is ancient and falling apart. She doesn’t have enough money to pay for all the healthcare she needs, including $20,000 of dental work she can never afford.

When I lived with her and she was a single mom, we could never afford the doctor and could barely afford food sometimes.

She will never be able to retire.

How tf do you think that is rich?

Frankly, my mom is still poor.

Your enemy isn’t the person makes $65,000, or even some doctor or lawyer making $165,000. It’s the people making billions off of everyone else’s labor.

You can’t eat the rich if you think every single person making more money than you is rich.
