#Afghanistan: recent consultations with aid organisations suggest the need to map the economic activities of informal settlements' inhabitants and identify ways to foster the economic independence of #IDPs in the country. Our analysis provides evidence to support #humanitarian efforts in finding durable solutions. #Ukraine: new #humanitarian access update We compare access challenges across #Ukrainian oblasts, while looking at changes in the access severity model between April - June 2024. Key developments: ➡️In April–June, several humanitarian orgs had to suspend or terminate operations in the frontline areas of #Donetska, #Kharkivska, and #Khersonska oblasts. ➡️In April, the Pokrovsk-Kostyantynivka section of T0504 Road in Donetska oblast became inaccessible to humanitarians. ➡️In May, Russia launched a ground offensive taking over ten settlements in Kharkivska oblast, limiting humanitarian operations. ➡️During the reporting period, Russia also intensified its air, rocket, and shelling attacks on Ukraine’s electricity infrastructure. 📜 #Afghanistan: Taliban decrees and directives - mapping & analysis We have analysed 28 Taliban decrees and directives relevant to the humanitarian response mapped between September 2023 to June 2024. They appear to have affected many Afghan families, especially female household members.
