A Madeira, oficialmente designada por Região Autónoma da Madeira é um território português dotado de autonomia política e administrativa através do Estatuto Político Administrativo da Região Autónoma da Madeira, previsto na Constituição da República Portuguesa. A Madeira faz parte integral da União Europeia com o estatuto de região ultraperiférica do território da União, conforme estabelecido no artigo 299.º-2 do Tratado da União Europeia.

Madeira is a Portuguese archipelago in the north Atlantic Ocean that lies between 32°22.3′N 16°16.5′W and 33°7.8′N 17°16.65′W. It lies west of ► Morocco and south west of ► Portugal and north of the ► Canary Islands. It is one of the Autonomous regions of Portugal, with Madeira Island and Porto Santo being the only inhabited islands. It is also part of the European Union.
