English: The sculpture was installed around the time this part of the mall was built, to great hype. Originally, the geese were hanging just a couple of metres below the skylight, in two rows about 300 metres long, from one end of the skylight to the other, emulating the "V" formation of migrating flocks. A few years later red ribbons were hung on the geese for Christmas, eliciting a complaint from the artist Michael Snow. He was told the mall owned the sculpture and could do what they wanted with it. Snow sued, on the grounds that he held underlying artistic rights, and that the sculpture's integrity was compromised. He won the case, and the ribbons were removed.
