Interior of Toledo station, Naples metro

[edit]

Alright, someone needs to be that guy:

At this Featured Pictures nomination, it was brought up that there is no Freedom of Panorama for architecture in Italy. The "de-facto exception" mentioned here does not apply, as this is a recent work (the station was opened in 2012). I have excluded some shots from Category:Toledo station (Naples metro) that do not appear to show anything copyrightable.

Delete de facto FOP on works by dead architects is considered invalid now, as it was just based on a vague parliamentary reply with no judicial backing. But the station itself has a dramatically worse status: as per this page it was completed in 2012 and designed by the Spanish firm of architect Oscar Tusquets Blanca, who is alive. In some other sites he is credited as the prinicpal designer. Copyright still held by him. All these commercially-licensed photos violate Blanca's copyright.
