Description
English: Giacomo Raibolini, aka Giacomo Francia, was the son of the more famous artist Francesco Francia, well known as a goldsmith and painter and a close friend of Raphael. This is an author belonging to the mannerism of the late Italian Renaissance. The exact date of the painting is not known, but it can be attributed between 1520 and 1540, when it was influenced by the painting style of Dosso Dossi, a mannerist painter tending towards the Venetian Renaissance. It is worth noting the resemblance of the Saint Sebastian depicted with the [father] to whom he was extremely devoted.
